Hey guys, it has been forever since I posted on this thing and I apologize. I have been pretty busy pimping out my myspace and have neglected Live Journal all together. Not much has beeen happening lately in my life so ya'll haven't missed much. At work, the next big holiday is Father's Day on June 18th and I'm trying to get the rest of my aisle in shape. I saw X-men 3 Friday night with Jess and a bunch of kung fu people, I thought the movie was pretty good even though I know alot of people were dissapointed in it. I have yet to hear from UT Southwestern but hope to hear from them within the next few weeks. Ummm, I passed Microbiology with an A, which is good. Becky has been doing her same thing lately too, mainly work. Other than that, not alot at all has been going on. I posted a butt load of quizzes on myspace in my blog if ya'll are interested. I retook some quizzes to see how they were differnt and also took some new quizzes. And here is the result of my "how sinful are you?" quiz. Take it easy, cheesy :) | Your Deadly Sins | | Envy: 100% | | Gluttony: 80% | | Lust: 40% | | Sloth: 40% | | Greed: 20% | | Pride: 20% | | Wrath: 20% | | Chance You'll Go to Hell: 46% | | You will die a boring death. While dying, you will be jealous of those who die dramatic deaths. |
This is kinda scary, I always knew I was a jealous person, but 100%? Dang!
Well, Easter is finaly here. It seems like it took forever, since I had my Easter cards up since the middle of February. In other news, I had fun last night with Jess. We watched Saturday Night Live: Best of Chris Farley and Red vs. Blue Season 2. We went to bed kinda early, but it's ok because everybody was sleepy (especially after the shot of hot damn 100). I'm thinking about trying something new with my Live Journal. I'm tired of putting the same old boring stuff, so I'm going to start postimg random facts, questions for every body to answer and other random stuff (i'll still throw in a quiz here and there). So, here it is Question: If you could have an extra appendage, what would it be and where would you put it? My answer: I would want an extra arm below my right arm. I always thought it would be nice to have an extrra arm or two :D Now ya'll reply with your answers and we'll see how it goes. Take it easy everybody!
I slept for eleven hours last night, so I'm feeling kind of groggy right now. I guess I needed the sleep but now half my day is gone. I had a good weekend, got to see the adorable puppies saturday night and play tennis sunday morning. I hadn't played tennis in forever and I was surprised that I wasn't half bad. I saw Ice Age 2 yesterday with my sister. It was cute but not as good as the first one. My favorite character is scrat and his life long quest for the acorn, haha. Anyways, not much else to report, Easter is Sunday which equals busy week for the hallmark lady. Mother's Day is the next big holiday, which is going to take up most my aisle and only be up for three weeks (you do all this work and it stays up less than a month). Well, here are the daily quizzes, enjoy and take it easy everybody :) | You Are 72% Happy | You are a very happy person. Generally, you feel content and that all is right with the world. Occasionally, you have a down day - but you have the ability to pick yourself right back up. |
Yeah, this sounds like me, i'm usually happy but definately not always. | You Are Sunshine | Soothing and calm You are often held up by others as the ideal But too much of you, and they'll get burned You are best known for: your warmth Your dominant state: connecting |
I wouldn't say too much of me burns, even though just a little sun burns me, haha.
Thu, Apr. 6th, 2006, 03:12 pm hmmmmmmm...
Well, it's been kind of a dreary day. When I woke up it was all cloudy and nasty outside. It thundered and lightning for awhile and then rained for like 5 minutes. Now it's sunny, who knows about this weird Texas weather? Today I actually had the house to myself, which is a rare thing. I just kinda goofed off online until noon when I met monkey boy for lunch. We ended up going to Chipotle, which was pretty good since I hadn't been there in a long time. Then we went to Goody Goody and I picked up some booze for Saturday. Then we came back to my place and watched Thumb Wars. It's probably my least favorite of all the thumb movies, but it's ok. Now I'm just sitting here, listening to Bohemian Rhapsody, and typing in this thing. I'm kinda in a weird mood right now. I think I had too much caffeine this morning and is now going down hill. Also, I'm chewing on a toothpick, which is unusual for me. Who knows? In other news, congrats to Jess, Isis, and her 7 new puppies. I can imagine they are sooo cute. Well, here are some quizzes, take it easy everybody :) | You Passed the US Citizenship Test | Congratulations - you got 7 out of 10 correct! |
Yay, I'm a good citizen. I didn't think I knew history, who knew? | You are a Believer | You believe in God and your chosen religion. Whether you're Christian, Muslim, Jewish, or Hindu.. Your convictions are strong and unwavering. You think your religion is the one true way, for everyone. |
Hmmm, this is kinda true, I guess, but I don't try to push my religion on other people.
I can't believe it's been a week since I posted in this thing. You would think alot has gone on in a week, but I don't have much to say. I mowed the lawn this morning, it was a jungle in the back yard. The monkey family was not happy that I was mowing down their home and flung poo at me. LOL Anyways, the main things I have been doing lately are school, work, and taking care of things around the house. The weekend was boring as all hell. We had a family game night on saturday night which was fun. School is starting to wind down, about a month until finals. Well, not much else to report on, hope all is well with ya'll. Take it easy everybody :) | Your Daddy Is Arnold Schwarzenegger | What You Call Him: Daddy-o Why You Love Him: He's your sugar daddy |
I wouldn't want Arnold Schwarzenegger as my sugar daddy, GROSS!
Well, here I am updating my journal instead of sleeping, am I crazy? Oh well, not much has been going on lately. I got my car all fixed up yesterday and today: yesterday I got the power steering hose fixed, an oil change and the license sticker. Today I got the brakes fixed, $600 and 3 1/2 hours later there is no grinding. I missed lecture because of it but I made it to lab. I went to dinner with Jess tonight which is always fun. We went to bennigan's (big shocker) and then to carvels for ice cream. After that we went to the galleria and walked around, it was nice because I hadn't been to the mall with Jess in forever. Oh, and CONGRATULATIONS ON PASSING THE WRITTEN EXAM, JESS! Well, I just checked to see what I made on that quiz on Monday and I got 88, which is my second highest grade, not bad (wearing my lucky underwear paid off :P ). I thought I was going to get a 70 or something. Well, I'm about to pass out so here is a quiz Jess request I take and then there is an extra. Take it easy everybody :) | Your Quirk Factor: 40% | You have a few little quirks, but you generally blend in well with society. Only those who know you well know how weird you can be. |
Yep, I'm definately not as quirky as Jess. It's funny because when I was reading through the questions I was thinking that Jess probably answered "often" to alot of them :) | You Are 16% Open Minded | You may be surprised to hear that you're not very open minded... and a little judgmental. You tend to dislike others that are different from you. While you may be open to a few new things, you don't reach far beyond what you believe. And it's likely that you don't even want to discuss different points of view! |
I was kinda surprised, I thought I was more open minded than that, oh well. I want to see what Jess gets on this because I know she is very open-minded.
Well, hmmm, I feel I should post something since it's been awhile. I'm super tired so bear with me, went to bed at 2 and got up at 5:45. Alot has happened over the weekend but not all will be posted. I had dinner with Pamela friday night at IHOP. We chatted for 3 hours. Pam talked about work mostly, but she really enjoys it so I guess it's ok. Ummm, and other stuff happened and I'm just gonna leave it at that. I think we will all get through it though. Well, I tried to get the power steering hose fixed again today and the guy said to come back tomorrow morning. I better get the stupid thing fixed tommorrow or heads will roll. This is only the 4th time i've tried to get it fixed. Also, I need to get an oil change and the brakes looked at. Stupid cars! Anyways, I had a quiz today that I didn't study for. I just never felt like studying this weekend, so I studied 10 minutes before class started. I think I did ok considering I didn't study much but it won't be my highest score. I haven't been to work in a week either, oh well, I'm going to go tonight. I have been so lazy lately and I don't know why. Everything is kinda at a standstill right now, just waiting on UT Southwestern. Once I know if I'm accepted into the program then I can figure out stuff but now it's just waiting. I called them today and they said they are going to start looking over stuff next week. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Anyways, that is all for now, I had more to say than I thought I did, who knew? Now comes the problem of finding a quiz I haven't talen, hmmmm. Take it easy everybody :) | You Are 60% "Average American" | You are average because you rate your appearance 5 or higher.
You are not average since you don't think affirmative action is necessary. |
Hmmm, I answered alot more than two questions, oh well.
Thu, Mar. 23rd, 2006, 11:55 pm Stupid P.O.S.!
| Your Career Type: Investigative | You are precise, scientific, and intellectual. Your talents lie in understanding and solving math and science problems.
You would make an excellent:
Architect - Biologist - Chemist Dentist - Electrical Technician - Mathematician Medical Technician - Meteorologist - Pharmacist Physician - Surveyor - Veterinarian The worst career options for your are enterprising careers, like lawyer or real estate agent. |
Well, I had a whole hell of a lot more typed in this thing then I clicked on a link and it all disappeared (stupid P.O.S.!!!). Oh well, man that really pisses me off. Anyways, to sum up: the church thingy wednesday night sucked, spent alot of time in traffic in downtown dallas today, and had fun with Dave at Firewheel. If you want to know more detail then it sucks to be you.
Well, I just got out of the shower and decided to see what's going on at everybody's live journal. I have had a very tiring day, got up at 6 and have been going nonstop ever since, especially since when Donny got here at two. And for the first and last time, I downloaded a country song. Only one, Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy) by Big & Rich. Haha, Jessica will be proud :) I also downloaded some other songs like the real Independent Women by Destiny's Child (again, Jess would be proud). Tomorrow night me and Jess are going to try the singles thing again at that church, hopefully people will be there this time. Well, that's pretty much it for now, probably ought to go to bed so that I can stay awake in class tomorrow. Take it easy everybody :) | You're 35% Irish | You're probably less Irish than you think you are... But you're still more Irish than most. |
Oh well, I'm less Irish than Jess, but I'm more Irish than I really am, which is 0% :) | You Should Be a Song Writer | You have the ability to evoke emotion, tell a story, and hook someone... In a very small amount of words, perhaps with some deft rhyming. Even if you can't write music, you can sure write compelling lyrics. Lyrics so good, people will have them stuck in their heads! |
I could actually see myself as song writer. I toyed around with the idea when I was younger, much younger :)
A nice end to spring break, I had a great Saturday. My Dad was in town, which I only get to see him once every few months. We checked in at their (dad and stepmom) hotel and chit chatted for a while. It's funny how becky is usually the one who does all the talking, oh well, I guess she has alot to say. Then we went to dinner at BJ's, a brewery place. I had a baked potato with chicken, broccoli, and alfredo sauce, it was actually very good. I also had this drink called a carribean breeze (with midori, yum) and a mai tai (it was very strong). After that, we went to main event and played 3 rounds of pool. We played teams, and I think my team won twice. Then we went to Braums and had ice cream. When I got home I went right back out. It was raining cats and dogs, but I had a responsibility to a friend. I got over to Jess's house about 10 and fed and watered her puppies. They really didn't need water, the poor things were soaking wet and muddy. I gave them food and fresh water and they were very thankful. Then I met up with Dave, he had just gotten back last night from his Texas travels. We watched TV, it was fun. It probably didn't help that we were both exhausted and we were pretty loopy. All in all, a fun day and the perfect way to end spring break. Take it easy everybody :) | You Are Coke | A true original and classic, you represent the best of everything you can offer. Just the right amount of sweet, just the right amount of energy... you're the life of the party.
Your best soda match: Mountain Dew
Stay away from:Dr Pepper |
Oh no, I like Dr. Pepper more than coke, this quiz can't be accurate! :D
